i don't want to sound like a fortune cookie, but in long articles it pays to read the last sentence:   "What people don't get is the scale of what needs to be done," he said. "Anybody whose solution includes the phrase 'in 20 years,' hasn't quite caught on to where we are."   also when they nytimes calls something a 'challenge' you know you're in deep shit.  their 9/11 section in september of 2001 was called 'a nation challenged.'
